April is our namesake who started the farm. April unfortunately passed away in August 2024 at 31 years of age after enjoying several great years of retirement with us! April was very loved & greatly missed on the farm!
Romeo

Romeo is a Saddlebred gelding who is approximately 20 years old. He was previously an Amish cart horse. Romeo lives up to his name, he is very sweet and lovable and loves to be told how handsome he is!

Mae is a standard donkey who was adopted as a companion for April. Little did we know at the time that Mae was pregnant! Leo is Mae's son. He was born on the farm on 2/4/22. Leo is very playful while Mae is more shy but both of them love treats very much!!

Percy was with us for about a year and a half trying to recover from chronic lameness issue. He was a sweet, silly boy who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. He will always be loved as a part of April’s Acres & greatly missed.

Onyx is a 16 year old retired racing thoroughbred who came to the farm two years ago. Onyx is the biggest horse here but probably the gentlest. He is proving to be a great therapy horse and does great with kids of all ages!

Skipper is our newest addition to the herd. Skipper is an Arabian quarter horse cross who is the sweetest boy! He is learning about doing rides for kids & also loves to be brushed & get scratches!

Olivia is an 18 year old saddlebred mare and has become best friends with Romeo! She has a sweet, loving personality and is learning about doing rides but loves scratches & getting brushed.

We have 2 goats - Blossom & new addition Kevin! Both are friendly & love pets & treats!

There are 3 dogs on the farm - Tux, Mayo & Axle. Tux and Axle are very friendly and will roll over for belly scratches . Mayo is a little more nervous & takes some time to warm up but is a sweet boy!
